When the oil press runs,the processed oil materials enter into the squeezing chamber through the hopper. The screw rotor propels the oil materials inward and squeezes them.The oil materials inthe squeezing chamber are motoral. ln the high-pressure chamber, there is great friction resistance between oil materials and squeezing spiral or squeezig chamber, thus the micro materials can create friction. On the other hand, the squeezing screw diameter is gradualy thickening and the screw pitch is gradualy decreasing, so when the squezing screw rotates,the screw threads can propel the oil materials fonward or outward. The heat generated by friction can improve the yield of the oil pres,and let the oil flows from the gaps. When the overflowing oil flows onto the oil filtering barrel through the oil tray,the vacuum pump pumps the air in the barrel,and then negative pressure forms in the barrel. The oil is pumped into the barrel through the fitering cloth and the oil residues are left on the fitering cloth.

Cold pressing of oilseeds is an oil production process that meets the needs of "green" consumers. Cold pressing is a completely physical and mechanical method of oil production, so it avoids the contact between edible oil and organic solvents, acids, alkalis, active white clay and high temperatures that are the only common methods used today, and the resulting edible oil only needs to be filtered or dried to meet consumption requirements. The nutrient content of the sunflower oil is retained as much as possible.

Pressed oil: sunflower oil obtained by pressing method has no additives and is basically free of chemical residues. Therefore, the crude oil is of high quality and retains the nutrients in sunfloewr as well as the original natural flavour of the plant. However, the oil yield is lower, and the price of edible oil produced by pressing is higher than that produced by solvent extraction.
Solvent extraction oil: The solvent extraction method has a higher oil yield, less residual oil, makes full use of the oil resources, and is cheaper. However, it may affect the flavour of sunflower oil, and the nutrients are highly damaged and there will be various chemical residues.
